Currently we allow no adult items to be listed. Under no circumstances list child pornography. It is a legal requirement that if a member is found to be dealing in child pornography all details will be passed to law enforcement officers. We will gladly provide such information. Airplane & Train tickets

The Governments strictly regulate the sale of flight tickets, therefore sellers must be licensed. For this reason we don't allow the sale of this item. The same applies to rail tickets. EXCEPTION: A travel package, such as a prize won, that has not yet been assigned (tickets purchased) to an individual may be sold.

Alcohol, Beer, Wine, & Spirits

A license is required to sell alcohol. Therefore we ban the sale of it on Bid4Jeeps. The only occasion where it can be sold is in the instance where the container is the reason for sale and has a much higher value than the substance contained inside. Furthermore the item must also not be available currently in any retail shops. The seller must ensure that the description states that the container has not been opened and that the contents are not suitable for consumption. The seller must also ensure that the buyer is of legal age in the country that they are buying the item.

Certain Animal Products

While we allow the sale of pets, many native animals, exotics, and birds are protected throughout the world and are prohibited. Trade in their hides or body parts are also illegal. It is your responsibility to understand the laws of your state, territory, and country before posting any.

Mercury Batteries

The following batteries are prohibited from sale: Mercuric-oxide button batteries (button-shaped batteries as used in vintage camera equipment), Alkaline-manganese batteries containing mercury, Zinc-carbon batteries containing mercury.

Copyright descriptions & images

The use of copied or scanned text and images can infringe on the owners copyright. Please ensure that you have permission from the owner to use them. Please ensure that you use your own images and descriptions unless you have the owners permission to use them, do not copy descriptions and images from other members.

Counterfeit & Bootleg Items

It is prohibited to sell any copy or bootleg items. Items such as, but not limited to clothing, footware, handbags, and watches etc that are not made by the original marked maker. Items including, but not limited to, CD, DVD, MP3, Video, VHS recordings, Video and PC software games and titles that are unauthorized copies are also prohibited. Any items that are suspected to be non authorized copies are prohibited.

Mod chips or similar devices used to facilitate the use of copied or imported games etc are prohibited.

The use of a non authenticity disclaimer is not allowed. For instance placing in the description a line such as "I am not sure if this item is genuine so consider this when bidding" is not allowed. If you cannot vouch that the item is genuine then do not list it as such.

Counterfeit Currency and Stamps

All counterfeit money or stamps are prohibited. Copy coins are accepted if permanently marked as copy and sold as such. Close attention must be made to rules and regulations laid out regarding the description of coins and stamps in relation to over grading, cleaned and altered numismatic materials.

Credit / Debit Cards

Credit and debit cards, no matter what age are prohibited for sale on the website.

Database Lists

Bid4Jeeps prohibits the sale of any database lists of names, addresses, email addresses, personal information and mailing lists of any kind.

Domain Names

Domain names are prohibited for sale on Bid4Jeeps if they are actively being used for a website. Parked or inactive domains which you own are allowed.

Drugs and Steroids

All forms of narcotics, steroids, prescription drugs or controlled and illegal substances are prohibited from sale on the website.

Fireworks

All forms of fireworks are prohibited from sale on the website.

Free Items

Giving an item away free with another item does not make it exempt from the prohibited items list.

Government, Licenses Uniforms etc

Firearms

Legal licenses, passports, birth and death certificates, identification papers, driving licenses or any government related official documentation may not be sold on Bid4Jeeps. The sale of any official transport uniforms is also prohibited this extends to complete or parts of, security uniforms, commercial pilot uniforms, air staff uniforms, rail and underground uniforms etc. The sale of any documents relating to mass transportation, rail, air, etc, are prohibited.

Fully automatic weapons, sawed-off shotguns, etc. deemed illegal for sale or possession are prohibited. It is strongly advised you only sell for "Local Pickup Only" in order to legally transfer ownership. Also, shipping is extremely problematic and restrictive. If you ship know the law!

Surrogacy or Human Parts

Offers or requests for surrogacy are prohibited. All human parts, organs, blood, bone, waste, sperm, eggs, etc are prohibited for sale on Bid4Jeeps.

Import & Export

In general, the movement of legal goods between the U.S. and Canada is relatively easy. However it is the member's responsibility to ensure that goods shipped do not infringe local customs laws.

Incorrect Brand Use

It is strictly prohibited to use a trade or brand name to describe an item when that item is made by another manufacturer. Description lines such as the following examples are not allowed.

"New Zippo type leather bound lighter"

"Suzuki GSR1100 not Honda Yamaha"

The reason for this is that it is manipulation of the search engine and gives false returns on search results. The lighter for sale is not a "Zippo" and so therefore the name cannot be included. The Suzuki bike is a Suzuki and using the other brand names falsifies searches accordingly and is misleading and unfair. Words like "not" within a description lead the item to be closely checked by Bid4Jeeps.

Hidden text within descriptions is also prohibited. Using white on white text within a description to hide keywords is not allowed.

Lock Breaking Devices

All devices for use in lock picking, jamming, code reading, etc. are prohibited from sale. Lock picking guns, cards bypass keys, tryout keys are also prohibited.

Lottery Tickets

Lottery tickets of all types are prohibited from sale.

Material Deemed Offensive

Bid4Jeeps bans the listing of any goods related to terrorist activities. It also prohibits the sale of any images or items relating to current criminals, prisoners etc.

Multilevel , Network, Pyramid

Schemes that promote, matrix, multi-level marketing, pyramid sales etc. are prohibited from listing on Bid4Jeeps.

OEM Software

Original Equipment Manufacturer software is prohibited from sale.

Police items

Police uniforms, badges, and ID cards are prohibited from sale on Bid4Jeeps.

Restricted Hazardous

If you think an item may be classed as hazardous please check with your local Postal Service. If deemed hazardous, we advise you to sell only for local pickup. This includes pesticides.

Stocks & Bonds

The dealing of shares, stock, bonds, credit and investments is highly regulated and is therefore prohibited on Bid4Jeeps.

SIM Card Unlocking

Software that can be used unlock mobile phone SIM cards is prohibited.

Stolen Goods

Bid4Jeeps is happy to work closely with local, national and international law enforcement to clamp down on crime. Bid4Jeeps will not tolerate stolen goods to be sold on the website. If you see an item that you feel confident is stolen and have good reason to believe so, please contact us via our support email support@bid4jeeps.com giving the auction title, seller name and your reasons. We will then proceed.

Titles

British titles are not permitted to be sold on the website. Examples are, but not restricted to, Duke and Duchess, Marquis and Marchioness, Earl and Countess.

Tickets

Tickets other than those prohibited under other sections of this document such as, but not limited to, concert, festival, and sporting event tickets must meet the following criteria.

Please ensure that you are not in breach of the terms of the ticket regarding resale, this information is often printed on the rear of the ticket.

The face value of the ticket must be clearly shown preferably by photograph and definitely in the description.

Bid4Jeeps does not allow the sale of tickets that are not in your possession at the time of placing the advert and during the complete period of the auction.

Charity Event Tickets.

If auctioning tickets, the face value must be clearly stated in the auction listing and tickets must be in your possession.

If offering tickets through "Buy Out", tickets for charity events can only be sold on Bid4Jeeps with an Instant Purchase price that is equal to or less than the face value. If an auction contains more than one ticket to be sold as a lot then the face value can be multiplied by the number of tickets. ( e.g. two concert tickets with a face value of $20 each can have an Instant purchase price of $40, if sold as one lot ). Auctions for charity event tickets that do not have an Instant Purchase price equal to or less than the face value may be removed without warning.

Tobacco and Cigarettes

Tobacco, cigarette, and cigars are prohibited. The seller must ensure that the description states that the container has not been opened and that the contents are not suitable for use. The seller must also ensure that the buyer is of legal age in the country that they are buying the item.

Unauthorized Images, etc

The sale of products that include images, names or signatures of other people that are not authorized or manufactured by that person are prohibited for sale. For example a scanned copy of an original photo of a pop star. The original may have been authorized but the copy is not. This is the same as bootlegging.

Websites

Website URL's that takes the viewer off site to visit another site that sells goods, or links to a site that sells goods, are prohibited.

Websites being sold must have ALL links deactivated.
